Development and green synthesis of MIL-101 (Cr) using ultrasound irradiation

چکیده مقاله :
In this study, MIL-101(Cr), a metal-organic framework material has been synthesized by ultrasound (UTS) irradiation to develop rapid and energy efficient alternative synthesis techniques. This material was synthesized using a mixture of CrCl3.9H2O, and 1, 4-benzenedicarboxylic acid (BDC) in DMF solvent in the ultrasonic bath. MIL-101(Cr) was confirmed using XRD, FT-IR, TGA, BET and SEM techniques. The effect of parameters such as reaction time and temperature on the yield and crystallinity were studied. The results show that increasing of two parameters lead to increase yield and crystallinity respectively upper than 67 and 47 percent. The advantages of this method include short reaction time, high efficiency, green reaction and the use of a suitable solvent. MIL-101 (Cr), also has advantages including Non-toxic, stable in solvents and harsh conditions, easy synthesis, high activity, easy separation by smoothing from the reaction mixture and reusability.
