In recent decades, seismic research has shown that taking safety considerations into account would not confidently result in structures' safe behavior. Hence, soil-structure interaction effects have been of interest to researchers. Foundation rocking isolation is an interaction-related aspect of retrofitting high-rise structures. There is relatively limited knowledge of parameters influencing the rocking of foundations and the use of rocking isolation on the soil-foundation response. Thus, the present study aims to evaluate the effects of foundation dimensions and structural slenderness on soil-structure behavior. This study applies a numerical model to realize whether the soil's flexural capacity could be exploited before failure when plastic hinges and rotational foundation deformations occur to dissipate the seismic energy of the bed. The results demonstrated that structural slenderness has a strong influence on the rocking behavior of foundations. The rate of in the moment capacity is directly related to the slenderness of the structure. Also, as the slenderness increases, the structure tends to demonstrate more uplift behavior. In the terms of energy dissipation, it can be said a rise in the slenderness ratio increases energy dissipation in the structure.
