چکیده مقاله :
Installation of passive energy dissipation systems is an effective method for seismic retrofitting of structures. In this paper, Chevron bracing and viscous damper are used as a seismic energy dissipation device which can be called Damper-Bracing-Control (DBC) system. According to the characteristics of structure and DBC system, the state-space representation of structural system expressed. then by simulating in MATLAB software, structural seismic responses clearly extracted. finally, the evidence from this study suggests that the DBC system is effective for seismic retrofitting of structures, and solving the motion equations of the structure in the form of state space is a quick and convenient method. Also, in order to impressively reduce the seismic response of structures, it is necessary to retrofit all floors of the structure, using the introduced DBC system
