Pile-supported wharves have suitable features for construction in seismic areas. This paper focuses on a reliability-approach probabilistic seismic hazard analysis of a pile-supported wharf in Bandar Abbas port considering uncertainties in structural specifications and in seismic hazards caused by surrounding faults. Shape memory alloy (SMA) braces are especially designed in the present work to improve the seismic response of the wharf structure. Nonlinear dynamic analysis of the wharf shows that the SMA braces with optimum specifications not only minimize the maximum acceleration and displacement, but also significantly reduce the deck residual displacement. Sensitivity analysis indicates that the most influential random variable among SMA parameters is the SMA rod side length
