A Numerical Study on Dynamic Response of a 3x3 Pile Group in a Soil-Pile-Structure System

چکیده مقاله :
In this study, a set of fully nonlinear three-dimensional models has been developed using explicit scheme finite difference program, FLAC3D. Nonlinear behavior has been considered for the soil medium and the three-dimensional model developed for the study has been validated with the published literature. The model is subjected to a harmonic sinusoidal dynamic loading and pile group behavior in soil-pile-structure system has been studied. In this paper, the effect of pile length and soil properties has been investigated. The numerical results in this study have shown that soil properties and pile group characteristics had significant effect on dynamic response of pile groups.
